Fish

Most amphibians and fish lay eggs in the water. The male will fertilise the eggs. Most of the eggs are swept away or eaten by other fishes. Some adult fishes look after their eggs and young.

Some Fish protect their eggs by keeping them in their mouth.

Even after hatching, the young will seek shelter in the mouth upon any danger.

Seahorse is a type of fish. The female seahorse lays her eggs into a special pouch on the male seahorse’s body. The eggs develop inside the pouch and are born when they are fully developed.
